Joy is a Charleston, SC native, who graduated from Converse College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school Joy was the Contracts I & II tutor and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court. Upon graduation, she worked for several years at a civil litigation firm representing catastrophic personal injury clients. She then opened her own private practice in the Charleston area representing clients for 12 years prior to joining forces with a law partner. Joy has successfully represented numerous clients in state and federal courts throughout the years, obtaining significant settlements and judgments on their behalf.
Joy has over 15 years' experience providing successful client representation in the practice areas of personal injury, automobile accidents, workers' compensation, social security disability, and probate work. Named an NBL National Top 100 Lawyer, an AIPI 10 Best Personal Injury Attorney, Innovator Under 35, and a Converse College 125 Outstanding Alumnae Award.
Joy is a member of the South Carolina Bar and is active in the community, formerly serving as board chair of TAA, and currently serving on the board of Protection & Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc.
